cutting eye holes in a cotton sheet
gonna throw the sheet over my head

watch me haunt the house from lounge to kitchen
talking even when there's no one listening
which is most of the time
about as obnoxious as when i was alive
i've got nothing to say most of the time
there's dancing in the other room
so we move along just as you do
when you've got nowhere to be
and the drinks are catching up to you
this song played at the disco when i was ten
guess it's been long enough that now we think it's cool again
but if i'm honest, it just looks like everyone
feels kinda weird
they're putting on a horror show
about the people that we know
and every character has been
somehow killed spectacularly
it's kind of getting to me
so i'll take my leave
i put the sheet back on my head
and say "hey! i'm just a ghost. i'm dead!"

as far as i can see
neither option ends well, objectively
so i'll bite my tongue and grind my teeth
